Healthy Breakfast for a Toddler

What I love about my days off is being able to feed Scarlett breakfast like I usually do on the weekends. What she’s been loving lately is oatmeal mixed with yogurt and chopped bananas… yum! I’m a huge fan of oatmeal myself (except I like mine with just brown sugar) so I make myself a bowl and take turns feeding her and myself lol. Win-win!

I just use Quaker Oats old fashioned oats that I microwave with water. Then once it’s cooled down a bit, I add about two tablespoons of Annie’s Homegrown Organic Whole Milk “Berry Patch” Yogurt (she also likes the strawberry flavor). Since I don’t use the whole pack, I put the rest in a small container and then store in the fridge for next time.

Then I toss in the chopped bananas before mixing it all together. I only use about 1/4 of a banana for her oatmeal then I just eat the rest. She almost always finishes the whole bowl cause she loves it so much! When she’s almost done, I let her have a little fun and feed herself since she’s been obsessed with feeding herself! A little mess never hurt nobody right? Lol. Plus it gives me a little time to clean the kitchen while she she’s preoccupied… Fellow mamas, you know how precious “extra time” is haha! 🙂

So yeah, if you’re looking for a filling and nutritious breakfast option that’s super quick to make… this is Scarlett and Mama approved! Btw, I just got that spoon from Target recently. I love that it has a big rubber handle which makes it easy for Scarlett to grab and it’s also BPA free!
