My family and I were invited to spend the day at Belmont Park and we had the best time! Leo and I haven’t been to Belmont Park since before kids so it was awesome to bring the kids for their first time. If you’re a San Diego local, you know that Belmont Park is such an iconic part of San Diego. It’s definitely a must to visit!
We went on a Monday hoping that it wouldn’t be too busy. While there were a good amount of people there, I’m sure it’s nowhere near what it would be like on a weekend lol. We parked at the parking right by the entrance. It costs $20 but closer parking with 3 little kids is always worth it. The lot was pretty empty when we got there around noon so it was perfect!

Our first stop was Draft, an American restaurant right by the beach. They have a ton of yummy adult drinks to choose from too! I got ‘The Birdie’ cocktail and omg, 10/10. My husband got one of the IPA beers and he was raving about it. The kids got the Grilled Cheese with fries and Leo and I shared the Truffle Fries as a snack (delish). We didn’t get much food cause we just wanted to start of our day with some drinks. We definitely have to go back and try new things because everything on the menu sounded so good! Thank you Draft!!!

Next we went to one of the kiosks to get our Ride and Play Combo wristbands (for unlimited rides and games) and food vouchers (to Sweet Shoppe, Hot Dog on a Stick and Belmonty Cafe) that Belmont Park gifted us. Once we got our wristbands we went on some rides. It was so convenient with the wristband because we didn’t have to worry about losing it and it just needed to be scanned before going on a ride. We had so much fun! Liam rode the carousel 3 times in a row. The kids weren’t tall enough for the roller coaster, zip line and rock climbing but there was so much for them to do that the Unlimited Park Passes were still so worth it.

After we built up an appetite, we headed back toward the beach to Cannonball – the rooftop sushi restaurant. We’ve been here but it never gets old. The views of the beach here is just stunning! Everything we got was 5/5 stars: oysters, crab spinach dip, calamari, chef’s sashimi platter, enfuego roll, kids chicken nuggets and kids cheeseburger. Literally my mouth is watering now as I type everything lolol. The drink I got was the ‘Sunset Collins’ which tasted like a watermelon lemonade… uh-mazing! Leo got another beer (I think) lol and ofc, he loved it. We had a wonderful experience – the food, views, service and ambience.. can’t beat it! Thank you Cannonball for having us!

After dinner, the kids were begging to go to the beach. We weren’t planning on the beach that day so we didn’t have any beach stuff with us but we still went to let them play with the sand and walk along the shore. We stayed for awhile so after we actually got hungry again LOL. It was time to use those food vouchers! We got the family meal from Hot Dog on a Stick which had 2 cheese on a sticks (my fave) and 2 corn dogs. We also got a cheeseburger meal from Belmonty’s Burgers – bomb.com. And for dessert, we shared 3 ice-creams from the Sweet Shoppe. Scarlett got the Strawberry Cheesecake, Landon got the Chocolate Malt and Liam got the Rainbow Sherbert. I tried them all and they were so good!

You guys definitely need to go check out Belmont Park some time! It’s the perfect summer hang out spot that’s great for all ages. I also highly recommend eating there too at one of their restaurants 🙂 Shoutout to Belmont Park for hosting us!
