As if my schedule wasn’t already crazy already, let’s throw in an unexpected and sudden move to San Diego! It’s been such a hectic couple of weeks. Like literally, last week when we moved in was non-stop unpacking, cleaning and organizing. I lived in pajamas and had no make-up. I didn’t even get my workout in because every free moment I got was used towards settling in. Now that we are pretty much settled in (we still are on the hunt for a couch), I finally was able to start a routine and schedule this week.
I’ve received messages before about how I manage my time as a blogger and SAHM.
I rely so much on my calendar, reminders app and multiple daily alarm reminders on my phone.
And of course, all of that is synced to my Apple Watch so I don’t miss a thing. Since I am still solidifying a set routine at our new place, I’ll share what helps me manage my time.
I always write out my to-do list for the day on the phone.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been a “cross it off the to-list” kinda person but after becoming a mom, I learned that a to-do list is important but the needs of my kids always come first. Being flexible is key. For awhile, that was tough for me and I would be really hard on myself but that started to take its toll on me. Now a days, I create tangible and realistic to-do lists and would have to be okay with not having to cross everything off at the end of the day. Luckily, brands that I’ve worked with have all been so understanding and flexible so when I have to submit content a day or 2 later, it was fine (TYSM).
I rely on coffee, a lot.
Yes I’m addicted. Sorry not sorry. What can you expect with 3 kids?! Lol. If I didn’t drink coffee, I’d be falling asleep every second I got after trying to keep up with my 3 crazy kiddos (that I love so very much).
Everything is on my calendar that I share with my husband.
It’s synced to all of our devices so we can always know what’s going on. Because I have a mom brain x3 so I will forget it unless I write it down or put in my calendar.
When my husband is home, I try to get most of my blogging and content creation done… keyword TRY.
It’s definitely ideal so that I don’t have to worry about the kids and just focus on content. The days that I get super behind and end up having to work while watching the kids is when I actually have to be in the pictures and get ready lol.
Ok and this has been a game changer since we moved… I literally do not have to cook for the kids or worry about their meals because Leo’s grandma cooks for them (she lives a few doors from us)! I mean, so blessed right?!? This has saved me and my husband so much time. And the kids LOVE her food, like it’s all they ever wanna eat so it’s a win-win!
Also my husband is so close to work which has given me more time with him at home so it’s awesome. A huge reason why we moved was because my husband is working more so it would just be too much for my family for him to keep driving back and forth. And the reason we moved so suddenly is because an apartment opened up right by his family’s, we just had to take the opportunity.
Let me just add that I can’t live without my Apple Watch.
I think the feature I use the most is pinging my phone because I am always misplacing it lol. I love getting phone calls, texts, reminders on it as well. Plus it syncs with my workout app so it’s just perf!
Longvadon sent me two of their Apple Watch bands and I’m obsessed!
The detail and quality are beyond amazing. They look expensive too but they are quite affordable. I fell in love with their Caiman series so I had to get both the black and the white. Not to mention, they come in 2 different sizes! For someone with small wrists, that’s a major plus. They have a bunch of designs to choose from so check them out! Oh and use code RAINA20 for 20% off… you’re welcome 😉
