We were recently invited to Sheraton Carlsbad for a 2-night stay, dinner at their on-site restaurant, 7 Mile Kitchen, and a shuttled trip to the Pumpkin Patch at the Carlsbad Strawberry Company and I obviously had to think loooong and hard about going or not… Just kidding! Lol. I said YES in a heartbeat of course! We had the best time. As a family with 3 little kids, a kid-friendly resort is super important to me and the Sheraton Carlsbad did not disappoint.

The Room
We stayed in the Premium Ponto Studio Suite and it was a great space for my family of 5. There’s a separate room with 2 twin beds and a TV that’s perfect for the kids, a little living room area with a couch and TV, a comfy king sized bed, a desk, another TV and a perfect view of the pool area (and coffee shop). Pool
The kids and I spent Sunday afternoon poolside while the hubby had to coach some games. They have a water slide that’s open on the weekends too! We had such a blast. It was a little cooler that day so we warmed up in the hot tub before heading back to our room. There are towel stations located around the pool area so no need to bring any down from your room.

7 Mile Kitchen
We’ve been to 7 Mile Kitchen before so I was excited to go back and try new things. It was so nice just walking down from our room to have a delicious dinner. Not to mention, they have a coffee shop that’s open during the day and they serve Starbucks coffee! The iced PSL I ordered tastes exactly like it does at the real Starbucks so that was a major plus for me. Ok back to dinner… the staff was wonderful, ambience was fantastic and food was amazing! We ordered the french onion dip with BBQ chips, mac and cheese and cheeseburger for the kids, steak for Leo and the bolognese pasta for me. OH and we got two festive cocktails too… love me some cocktails! For dessert, we got Pumpkin Spice gelato. YUM. I’m literally craving everything again as I type this lol.

Carlsbad Pumpkin Patch
We got to take a shuttle to the Carlsbad Pumpkin Patch AKA the Carlsbad Strawberry Company which was so convenient. I loved not having to drive, find parking and/or walk far. This pumpkin patch exceeded my expectations. There’s a little shop at the entrance that sells mini pumpkins and produce/snacks from local companies. They had HUGE pumpkins, lots of adorable photo backdrops, a corn maze (I have a love/hate relationship with these but the kids love them lol), a tractor ride, a beautiful field of yellow and orange marigolds (stunning), food trucks and a bouncy house section. If you get the chance, you definitely should make a trip out to the Carlsbad Pumpkin Patch!
Sheraton Carlsbad is currently running a special right now, which is their “Pumpkin Patch Package.” If you book a room, you also get family entry to the Carlsbad Pumpkin Patch, two festive desserts and two festive cocktails at their 7 Mile Restaurant and shuttle service to and from the pumpkin patch (based on availability). Can you stay worth it?! What are you waiting for? Go book that October family staycation!
Thank you Chemistry PR for this collaboration opportunity and Sheraton Carlsbad for hosting us!!
